U disk is short for USB disk, and USB disk is just a homophonic name for U disk. U disk is a kind of flash memory, so it is also called flash disk. The biggest feature is: small and easy to carry, large storage capacity, cheap price. It is one of the mobile storage devices. General U disk capacity has 64M, 128M, 256M, 512M, 1G, 2G, 4G, etc., the price to the most common 1G as an example, 65 yuan or so can be bought. The capacity of U disk has been greatly improved, such as: 4G, 16G U disk. It's easy to carry and is a mobile storage device, so of course it's not plugged into the case, we can hang it on our chest, hang it on a key chain, or even put it in our wallet.
The U disk has a USB interface and is a USB device. If the operating system is Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista or Apple system, plug the USB flash drive directly into the front panel or the USB port on the back of the case, the system will automatically recognize. If the system is 98, you need to install the U disk driver to use. The driver can be found on the included CD or on the manufacturer's website.

Each time you use the USB flash drive (you plug it into the USB port), the system will report that new hardware has been found, and after a while, it will prompt: the new hardware is installed and ready to use. Open "My Computer", you will see an additional icon called "removable disk". After this step, if you use the U disk in the future, you can plug it in and directly open "my computer". At this time, notice that in the bottom right corner of the screen, there will be a small icon, which is the meaning of USB device. (USB flash drive is one of the USB devices), next, you can save and delete files on the USB flash drive as you normally operate files. However, it should be noted that after the use of the USB disk, close all Windows, especially the window about the USB disk, before correctly unplugging the USB disk, right click the USB device icon in the lower right corner, and then left click "safely delete hardware", press the "Stop" button, and then click "OK" in the pop-up window. When the prompt "You can now safely remove the drive" appears in the lower right corner, the USB flash drive can be unplugged from the case. There is another more convenient way to unplug is to directly left click the extra icon, and then click Stop USB port, and so on prompt you can now safely remove the drive "after the prompt, left click to confirm you can unplug.
